Louis was a 2x British champion who competed at a high professional level beating some big names in the UK and was starting to make a name for himself before he moved to Australia to start a new life at the age of 19
Let’s take it back to the start! Louis grew up in Manchester England and has been around marshal arts his whole life with his dad also being a champion fighter and making him come to the gym with him day in day out, Louis didn’t take fighting as seriously when he was young as he’s competed as a gymnast and was also competing at a high level in gymnastics before he really started to get an itch for fighting…
Ones he put all his energy and focus into Muay Thai he was hooked and only did Muay Thai from then on, Louis has been under the guidance of some of the best fighters in not only the UK but the world and have produced multiple amounts of British, European and world Champions (Louis was one of them)
Louis had a very successful amateur career starting from a young age and then he made the decision to fight professionally across the UK and had an amazing career as a professional
Louis has an opportunity to move to Australia and wanted to see if he would like it or not however his Muay Thai days would have to be put on hold for a little while but his father said to him he’s only young go and try it see if you like it
Unfortunately for Louis his Muay Thai career had to take a bit of a back step as he’s loved the country of Australia he tried as a few gyms around Mackay but being from such a strong gym in the UK he found it hard to adjust to the new gyms so this is where Gen’Dai Thai boxing was born and created !!
Gen’Dai was never in the plan but like anything In life everything happens for a reason and Louis has found himself a new lease of life teaching true Muay Thai and can pass on his knowledge and passion to other up and comers
Hey I’m Josh Bartolo, I am an assistant coach, corner-man, and strength & conditioning coach at Gen Dai. I've been doing martial arts for over ten years and Muay Thai for 4 years.
Recently I had the opportunity to train in Thailand at Bangtao Muay Thai in Phuket, where I fought and won by second round KO. Over the years, I have also trained in Sydney under ex world champion, Rick Spain, in martial arts. By taking these opportunities, I have gained many different skills and knowledge base of martial arts and Muay Thai.
My main passion is to be a coach and what I love about coaching is watching people take what I teach them and use it to help them not only as fighters but to be a better versions of themselves I take a lot of pride in my teaching and explaining so whoever is willing to learn Muay Thai.
I’m very passionate about passing on my knowledge to anyone who wants it it regardless to who you are I just want to help everyone and make an impact in their life.
Jess “THE VIGILANTE” Vigliante fell in love with Muay Thai when she started with the Gen’Dai family just over two and half years ago.
Now training our ladies classes and taking on one on pts. Incorporated in her PT sessions is also strength and conditioning exercises not just boxing and can be tailored to each individual.
Jess also can help with nutrition and give guidance on healthy eating. She can support our students through their fight camps, as she had four fights in which she experienced and learnt how hard our fighting students have to work. With an enthusiastic and passionate attitude Jess is excited to pass it all down to our students on each of their Muay Thai journeys
